چکیده
Introduction The secretion of a hormone with insulin-like activity by hepatic metastases is an uncommon complication of non-pancreatic malignant tumours (Laurent, Debry and Floquet, 1971). A case is now reported of retroperitoneal malignant haemangiopericytoma with recurrent hypoglycaemic attacks resulting from hepatic metastases. Following hepatic angiography, hypoglycaemia has been effectively controlled by trans-catheter hepatic arterial embolization on 5 separate occasions.

Hepatic Arterial Embolization for the Treatment of Metastatic Neuroendocrine Tumors
Neuroendocrine tumors (NETs) have a high predilection for metastasizing to the liver and can cause severe debilitating symptoms adversely affecting quality of life. Although surgery remains the treatment of choice, many liver metastases are inoperable at presentation. Hepatic arterial embolization procedures take advantage of the arterial supply of NET metastases. The goals of these therapies a...

INTRODUCTION The degree of hypertrophy of the future liver remnant (FLR) induced by associating liver partition and portal vein ligation for staged hepatectomy (ALPPS) in patients with HCC and chronic liver disease is often limited as compared with patients with a healthy liver. PRESENTATION OF CASE We reported a 53-year-old male who had a huge HCC (14.8×12×9.4cm) arising from a background of...

Liver hemangiomas are often asymptomatic, smaller and diagnosed incidentally. A giant hemangioma is defined as a lesion with a diameter greater than 5 cm. Giant hemangiomas can become symptomatic and may cause mechanical complications related to tumour size [1]. Also, complications such as coagulation disorders, bleeding and traumatic rupture can occur during conservative management period [1]....
